A group of SOAN’s high-achieving seniors presented the results of their senior research projects May 5 to SOAN faculty and staff.

Two of SOAN’s sociology faculty members are featured in an article in the latest issue of the Colgate Magazine, focused on the ways different generations support each other throughout their lives. The article highlights the research of Assistant Professor of Sociology Ynesse Abdul-Malak and Professor of Sociology Meika Loe.

Nancy Ries, professor of Anthropology and Peace and Conflict Studies, is the 2021 recipient of the Jerome Balmuth Award for Teaching.

Sociology Professor Carolyn L. Hsu’s research examining Chinese citizens’ opinions on their government’s handling of the coronavirus crisis was published recently in the Washington Post.
