About the Program

Colgate has partnered with the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, or IHEID, in Geneva, Switzerland, to offer students the chance to earn a BA from Colgate and an MA from IHEID in just five years.

The program will be open to students majoring or minoring in any of the social sciences - economics, educational studies, geography, history, international relations, political science, or sociology and anthropology. The program will first be available to students in the class of 2020.

Students in the program will spend their first three years at Colgate, then study at IHEID for the fall semester of their senior year. They will then return to Colgate for another semester before graduating before spending another year earning their Master's at IHEID.
