Colgate students may participate in any of the university’s off-campus study programs. The department periodically offers an extended study course featuring 2–3 of travel to Milan and Venice, Italy, which may be of particular interest to art students.
There are also many study abroad opportunities via other organizations that have been vetted and approved by Colgate as academically rigorous, easing the transfer of academic credit to Colgate. One such approved program attended by many Colgate architecture students is the DIS Program in Copenhagen.
While the Italy and Copenhagen programs above are often of particular interest to Colgate’s art students, there are many additional opportunities for students to study off campus. From full-semester study groups led by Colgate professors, to courses with travel components 2–3 weeks in length, to pre-screened programs sponsored by other institutions, the possibilities are nearly endless.
