The ALANA Cultural Center at Colgate University would like to invite you to the 3rd Annual Social Justice Summit as part of our Martin Luther King Jr. Week celebration.

All across our college campuses, we have students seeking justice, change, advocacy, and connection for Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) and other marginalized identity communities. This year's summit touches on the theme “Creativity and Innovation in Action” and aims to have participants examine how groups are utilizing more creative and innovative platforms to strengthen and push forward social movements.

The summit aims to engage participants who wish to become advocates and activists, and promotes critical questioning and relevant actions while providing avenues for addressing social, educational, and global injustice. We want to be intentional about our approach and bring together students to connect, exchange ideas, collaborate, and think about what true change looks like on our campuses.

Whether you are new to thinking about social justice issues or you are ready to act, this summit will serve as a time and place for student leaders from schools across New York State to dialogue, learn from one another, and connect. The summit will also include an afternoon social and raffle prizes.
