Pipcorn co-founder Jen Martin will bring more than a decade of experience building brands from the ground up, when she begins working with Colgate University’s student entrepreneurs as the new Weiner Family Entrepreneur in Residence in the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (E&I).

The Max A. Shacknai Center for Outreach, Volunteerism, and Education collaborated with Alumni Engagement and Career Services to host its signature Be the Change Weekend, which fosters connections between current students and alumni in the Common Good Professional Network.

Colgate faithful in New York City gathered at the Paley Center for Media last month to hear from five innovative alumni leaders about their work and their thoughts related to the University’s development of a new Middle Campus Plan for Arts, Creativity, and Innovation outlined in The Third-Century Plan.

The 2024 TIA Summer Accelerator propelled four ventures focused on sustainability, the media, and event promotion.

On April 20, the professional networks hosted a virtual Q&A, featuring CNBC Washington Correspondent Eamon Javers ’94 and moderated by Alison King Haley ’84, P’23, political reporter for NBC Boston.

Each summer, Colgate University students and alumni gather for an evening of celebration and connection, swapping stories while enjoying hors d’oeuvres. Called Colgate in Your City, this series of events takes place in cities like Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and the District of Columbia.

The Colgate Alumni Club of Washington, D.C., and the Common Good Professional Network engaged in a panel discussion on “The Press and the Presidency.”

On November 5, the Common Good Network and Colgate Club of Atlanta convened a panel discussion, “Community Development and Revitalization in Atlanta”.

On a typical weekday, up to 10 tour groups may traipse through Colgate University’s new Benton Hall, the home of the Center for Career Services, which is on the main academic quad.
