Keep connected with these ITS Services. It starts with a Colgate network account which not only grants you access to our internal network and access to the internet, but also access to personal storage and the many other services offered through our single sign-on service.
Available Services
Description: Store data and interact with collaborators with shared file space. ITS provides local network fileshare space for academic classes or departments. Google Team Drive can also be used to share Google Drive documents within a team and owners of the Team Drive can control the membership and level of editing access.
Availability: Students, faculty, and staff.
Prerequisites: An active network account or Colgate Gmail account.
Requesting this Service: Contact the ITS Service Desk for a consultation and to request shared file storage.
Description: The Colgate network is a complex system providing access to local Colgate resources as well as a gateway to the internet. Access is provided to these resources through a Colgate network account that can be used log onto computers across campus, as well as our wired and wireless network connections.
Availability: Students, Faculty, and Staff

Requesting this Service: Students and Employees are issued a network account as part of the on-boarding process. Contact the ITS Service Desk to discuss the creation of a new department or guest account.
Description: Personal storage is available on the Colgate network. Cloud storage through G Suite's Google Drive provides unlimited storage. ITS also offers data backup solutions, including Google's Backup and Sync or File Stream that can keep your documents backed up.

Description: ITS maintains several servers, including virtual servers.

Description: ITS provides wired ports across campus.
Availability: Students, Faculty, and Staff
Prerequisites: Departments may be asked to provide funding for additional ports.
Requesting this Service: To lean more about your options and take advantage of this service, call the ITS Service Desk.
Description: ITS provides wireless access points across campus buildings, and in some outdoor areas.
Availability: Students, Faculty, and Staff
Prerequisites: Departments may be asked to provide funding for additional access points.

Description: ITS investigates reported areas with poor to no wireless access coverage.
Availability: Students, Faculty, and Staff
Prerequisites: Notify ITS of areas with poor or weak wireless coverage.
Requesting this Service: To request ITS to investigate poor or weak wireless coverage, contact the ITS Service Desk.
