MIST students have the opportunity to expand their global perspective by studying off campus and abroad.
Colgate is directly affiliated with several off-campus study programs that students in Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies find rewarding.
Colgate study groups and approved programs allow students to explore different curricula and to learn from the global community of mathematicians while becoming familiar with another country and its culture. Each offering provides opportunities for majors and minors to earn elective transfer credit.

Every year, the English and creative writing department sponsors a semester-long program of study in London. Led by a Colgate professor, the group gives students a unique opportunity to enrich their understanding of writing, literature, and theater.
In a rapidly globalizing world, the economics curriculum at Colgate fosters students’ appreciation of differences in culture, language, currency, and more through opportunities to study off campus and abroad.
All Colgate study groups are led by a Colgate faculty member. The study groups are specially designed to maximize students’ experiences when studying abroad, while also maintaining high academic standards. All credits earned while studying with a Colgate off-campus study group earn Colgate course credit.
