Safety Preparedness Guide
The information provided on this page is intended to help educate our campus community about safety policies and practices. Please take some time to review and become familiar with this important and potentially life-saving information.
Remember, in all emergency situations, your personal safety is the first priority. Here are some simple things that you should do to increase your personal safety:
Colgate Guardian App
The Colgate Guardian app provides a direct connection to campus safety contacts, anonymous tips, and a safety timer to keep you safe any time of day.
Clery Compliance
Colgate is committed to providing accurate crime and fire-related statistics and to continuously evaluating and improving the University's safety and security programs. This commitment is best illustrated by the extensive annual training that campus safety officers receive and our Clery Committee. Led by Colgate's Clery Act Compliance Officer, the Clery Committee meets weekly to review crime reports and make recommendations for improvements to the crime prevention program.
RideAssist Non-Emergency Medical Transportation
Colgate RideAssist is a non-emergency medical transportation service for authorized students and employees requiring assistance due to a qualifying temporary or chronic medical condition.
Driver Safety & Motor Vehicle Use
The goal of the Driver Safety and Motor Vehicle Use Program is to optimize motor vehicle related safety of Colgate University drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.
