SophoMORE Connections provides second-year students an opportunity to explore their academic and career interests through conversations with alumni, faculty, staff, and upperclassmen.

Meet the 2019 SophoMORE Connections Keynote Speaker

Clarissa Shah ’10 is a Commercial Sales Attorney at LinkedIn. Prior to LinkedIn, Shah worked at Emerson Electric Company as their supply chain counsel. At Colgate, she double majored in Chinese and Political Science, and still continues her language proficiency. Shah is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, where she concurrently earned her JD and master’s in Chinese literature and language. She was a member of Konosioni and the Student Conduct Board, as well as an active member of the Newman Community. She has also served as a former keynote speaker for the Colgate in Focus program with admission. She currently resides in Chicago with her husband, Tushin ’10, and their young son.

10:00–11:40 a.m.: Colgate and Your Career (skill-building sessions with alumni and staff)
11:45 a.m.–1:00 p.m.: Lunch and Learn (peer and academic advisor panels)
1:15–2:00 p.m.: Colgate and Your Career (skill-building sessions with alumni and staff)
2:15–3:30 p.m.: Career Clusters (industry panels with alumni)
3:45–4:45 p.m.: Creating Connections (networking session)
5:00–6:45 p.m.: Keynote Remarks and Dinner

Saturday, January 19

10:00–11:15 a.m.: Career Clusters (industry panels with alumni)
11:30 a.m.–12:45 p.m.: Food for Thought (identity breakout lunches with alumni)
1:00–2:15 p.m.: Career Clusters (industry panels with alumni)
