Traditions Spotlight: Founders’ Day Convocation
Equal parts celebration and time-honored ceremony, Founders’ Day Convocation is our official way of welcoming you into Colgate’s academic tradition.
On Wednesday, Aug. 26, after dining with your Residential Commons, you'll join a formal procession to the academic quad. From there, you’ll step into formation behind the faculty as they enter the Colgate Memorial Chapel for the Convocation Address that will officially mark the beginning of your first-year journey. Professors will be in full academic regalia, and members of the Class of 2030 are encouraged to dress their best — a shared commitment to honoring the gravity and prestige of the moment.

A special message from the Office of Student Accounts: To protect your financial privacy, the Office of Student Accounts can only discuss account details or share billing information with individuals who have been set up as an authorized user in the secure billing platform, TouchNet. Once set up, authorized users are able to receive email billing notifications directly, view real-time account balances and IRS 1098-T tax forms, and safely make payments on your behalf.
