A Celebratory Weekend on Campus

Back to Messages to New Students

Today is a milestone day on campus: Colgate’s 205th commencement. I’m thrilled to share a video message from Tatsu ’26 to mark the occasion. If you attended Experience Colgate in April, you might remember him from the welcome session. Before he officially crosses the stage and becomes an alum, he has a few words of wisdom for the incoming class.

What’s next?

  • Stay tuned for more detailed information about building your residential experience and what to consider as you plan for arrival day.

In case you missed it:

  • Watch welcome messages from Paul McLoughlin, vice president and dean of the college, and Katie Child, associate director for dean of the college and parent communications.
  • Register for an optional pre-orientation program if you’re interested in starting your Colgate experience early.
  • Build your academic experience by completing the language background form, language placement testing, and the academic preferences and experience form. This and more can be found on your new student checklist.

If you have any questions, please contact newstudents@colgate.edu.
Go, ’gate!

Warmly,
