Students must receive approval before engaging in personal travel and then returning to campus. If personal travel is approved, students must adhere to the guidelines outlined below.

All students who have received approval for off-campus travel must adhere to these guidelines:

  • Must use personal vehicle
  • Must self-quarantine while away
  • May return to campus residence upon arrival
  • Must use personal vehicle
  • Must self-quarantine while away
  • In accordance with NYS guidance, must quarantine upon return
  • Must receive a SARS-CoV-2 test upon return to campus and seven days after return
  • Must quarantine until the second test results are returned as negative

If traveler uses a personal vehicle and self-quarantines while traveling, no quarantine or additional testing is required upon return.

Travel outside CNY and/or within CNY greater than 24 hours requires:

  • SARS-CoV-2 test upon return to campus and seven days after return
  • Must quarantine until the second test results are returned as negative
