The Colgate Link creates a virtual home for alumni and students

Back to Advancement Updates

Colgate has one of the strongest alumni networks among liberal arts universities. The University’s graduates are renowned for their loyalty and support. Now, that network has a new online community for professional growth and development: 3.

Launching on Colgate Day, March 13, the Colgate Link is a website that brings together a range of resources for alumni and students. Users can connect to the University and each other by searching the alumni directory, participating in online discussions, utilizing the job board, and learning about upcoming on- and off-campus events.

More than 35,000 Colgate alumni live in 102 countries around the world, including the United States and Canada. The Colgate Link eliminates geographic and generational barriers, enabling undergraduates, recent graduates, and alumni with decades of working experience to interact, ask questions, share ideas, and build relationships.

“We’re thrilled to be able to offer this new resource for students and alumni,” says Tim Mansfield, associate vice president of advancement and alumni relations. “The platform offers an online networking space and some very practical resources that our alumni have sought in the past."

The Colgate Link will include networks for professional groups, geographic regions, and other important demographics of the community.

“The benefits of the Colgate Link grow the more deeply users engage with its resources,” says Jillian Cole ’10, senior associate director for alumni relations. “We anticipate that our alumni will develop an active online community through the Colgate Link, as they reach out to fellow alumni, comment on each other’s posts, and use the job board.”

Open to all alumni and students with an email address, the Colgate Link can be found at colgatelink.colgate.edu.
