Environmental Studies Program

Draw on a variety of academic disciplines to study the single most pressing issue in the history of humanity.

 

The Colgate Environmental Studies Program builds awareness of complex regional and global environmental issues by investigating the consequences of human impacts. The curriculum combines interdisciplinary breadth with depth in a chosen field of study.

Students learn to think, speak, and write clearly and articulately about environmental issues from a variety of perspectives, working closely with faculty in a number of disciplines and pursuing both collaborative and individual research projects in the program’s upper-level courses.
