Minor Requirements
A minor in philosophy consists of five courses in philosophy. The structure of the minor can be specially designed in consultation with a student's adviser in philosophy, or it can have the basic structure outlined below.
Introductory Course
One of the following:
- PHIL 101 - Intro Philosophical Problems (strongly recommended)
- one 100- or 200-level PHIL course
Major Figures Elective
Courses fulfilling this requirement have an attribute of PHMF in the course offerings.
- PHIL 301 - Ancient Philosophy
- PHIL 302 - Modern Philosophy
- PHIL 303 - Medieval Philosophy
- PHIL 304 - Kant and German Idealism
Two Electives
- Two PHIL courses at any level
400-level Seminar
- One 400-level PHIL course
