2024 Awards Convocation and Regalia Information

Back to Provost and Dean of the Faculty Announcements

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

Please join us in celebrating the achievements of our students at the Awards Convocation on Friday, May 3, at 4 p.m. in the Colgate Memorial Chapel. The convocation will begin with a formal academic procession from the front of Alumni Hall and then proceed into the chapel. As the chapel bell tolls its ritual 13 chimes, the procession will begin to walk inside.

We will assemble in full academic regalia outside Alumni Hall at 3:30 p.m. or in the chapel Garden Level, should it rain.

In order to help gauge how many seats to reserve in the chapel for faculty, we'd appreciate your RSVP if you plan to attend the Awards Convocation. If you need to borrow regalia for the ceremony you may request it while making your RSVP here. You may also contact Cassidy Rodman to have regalia set aside if you cannot make the pick up dates on the form.

Since this ceremony is a celebration of our students' finest academic and community achievements, we kindly ask faculty to avoid scheduling student presentations, exams, or other events during Awards Convocation if at all possible.

The end-of-semester faculty tunk will follow immediately after the conclusion of the Awards Convocation. This year, President Casey will host the faculty at Raab House.

I hope very much that you will join us in honoring the accomplishments of our students and colleagues.

Best regards,

Lesleigh Cushing
Provost and Dean of the Faculty
