Dear Faculty Colleagues,
The Office of the Provost and Dean of the Faculty will be sponsoring Faculty Research Retreats for the 2023–24 academic year. These retreats provide a quiet space to focus on research and writing. Retreats will be held from noon to 5 p.m. in 314 Lathrop and will take place every Friday that classes are held, beginning this week.
Faculty who would like lunch prior to the weekly retreat can retrieve vouchers redeemable at Frank Dining Hall or the Coop from Lathrop 200. Snacks for the retreat and lunch vouchers are also located in Lathrop 200 in the cabinet (top drawer) on the left hand side when you walk in the office.
Please sign up to ensure we have enough snacks available. In the event that you haven't signed up but would like to try out a retreat, do come by. If you find yourself being productive in that setting and want to come back, simply add your name to the sign-up sheet for future sessions. Faculty attending retreats are invited to stay for as long as suits them: by signing up you are not committing to being there all afternoon.
