Dear Faculty Colleagues,
The Office of the Provost and Dean of the Faculty will be sponsoring Faculty Research Retreats for the 2025–26 academic year. These retreats provide a quiet space to focus on research and writing. Retreats will be held from 12:15 to 5:00 p.m. in 408 Lathrop and will take place every Friday that classes are held beginning January 23.
Faculty who would like lunch prior to the weekly retreat can retrieve vouchers redeemable at Frank Dining Hall or the Coop from 200 Lathrop. Snacks for the retreat and lunch vouchers are also located in 200 Lathrop in the cabinet (top drawer) on the left-hand side when you walk into the office.
Please sign up to ensure we have enough snacks available. In the event that you haven't signed up but would like to try out a retreat, do come by. If you find yourself being productive in that setting and want to come back, simply add your name to the sign-up sheet for future sessions. Faculty attending retreats are invited to stay for as long as suits them: by signing up you are not committing to being there all afternoon.
