Documentation regarding accessing voicemail messages and the most commonly used faculty and staff voicemail features.

Accessing Messages

  1. Press the Messages button.
  2. Enter your PIN followed by pound (#).
  3. Follow prompts in the main menu.
  1. Dial the four-digit extension: 7840.
  2. Press pound (#).
  3. Press star (*) after the welcome message begins
  4. When you receive the prompt, "Enter your ID followed by pound," enter your 4-digit campus phone extension, then press pound (#).
  5. When you receive the prompt, "Enter your PIN followed by pound," enter your 4-digit PIN, then press pound (#).
  6. Follow the prompts in the main menu.
  1. Dial 315-228-7840
  2. Press star (*) after the welcome message begins.
  3. When you receive the prompt, "Enter your ID followed by pound," enter your 4-digit campus phone extension, then press pound (#).
  4. When you receive the prompt, "Enter your PIN followed by pound," enter your 4-digit PIN, then press pound (#).
  5. Follow the prompts in the main menu.

Common Functions

After authenticating with your ID and PIN:

  1. Press 4: Setup options (greetings)
  2. Press 1: Change your greetings
    • Press 1 to re-record your current greeting.
    • Press 2 to turn on/off your alternate greeting

After authenticating with your ID and PIN:

  1. Press 3: Preferences
  • Press 1 to change your PIN
  • Press 2 to change your pre-recorded name
  • Press star (*) to cancel

While a message is playing back, the following buttons or button combinations are available:

  • 1: Rewind
  • 2: Pause/Resume
  • 3: Fast-forward
  • 3-3: Fast-forward to the end
  • 4: Slow playback
  • 4-4: Slower playback
  • 5: Hear message properties
  • 6: Fast playback (speed up)
  • 6-6: Faster playback
  • 7: Decrease volume
  • 8: Reset volume
  • 9: Increase volume
  • # Skip message, mark as Saved
  • #-#: Mark as New (for new and saved messages)
  • 1-2: Go to next message
  • 1-4: Go to previous message
  • 1-6: Go to message
  • *: Cancel
  • 0: Help
  • 0-0: Operator
  • 1: Skip back
  • 4: Repeat
  • 5: Properties
  • 6: Forward
  • 7: Delete
  • 8: Reply
  • 8-2: Reply to all
  • 8-4: Reply to sender
  • 9: Save/Restore as Saved
  • #: Next Message
  • #-# :Mark as New
  • 1-2: Go to a message
  • 1-4: Go to Previous message
  • 1-6: Go to Next message
  • *: Cancel (This option terminates the call and hangs up.)
  • 0: Help
  • 0-0: Operator (This option directs you to our NameConnector service.)
