Haven's services are free for all enrolled students, and are designed to help you get the assistance and support you need at any time.
Counseling Referrals
In addition to therapy, outreach, and other counseling services offered on campus, Colgate University provides a list of off-campus resources for students.
If you are interested in off-campus counseling or psychological services please visit the referrals list with contact information for providers that are able to work with Colgate students while within New York State.
Services
The Counseling Center provides many services, all of which are confidential and free for matriculated students.
Training Program for Graduate Students
Counseling and Psychological Services offers a training program allowing graduate students in psychology and counseling programs a chance to gain hands-on experience for a semester or full year.
Haven Ambassador Program
Haven Ambassadors are Colgate students who have an opportunity to serve as connectors between survivors and support services.
Crisis Help for Survivors of Sexual Violence
Sexual violence will not be tolerated at Colgate. In spite of this clear message, this crime does occur. When a sexual assault occurs, it is never the survivor’s fault.
Colgate has support services for survivors and we encourage every survivor to reach out for help. Trauma, including one-time, multiple, or long-lasting repetitive events, affect everyone differently. There are options and we respect survivors’ decisions as they decide what is best.
