Colgate’s multifactor authentication (MFA) solutions use a password, which is something you know, along with an additional factor, which is something that you have. There are many options for this additional authentication factor making MFA flexible and easy to use for any Colgate user. The Duo app only uses your device camera to scan a QR code during the enrollment process.

No, you have the option of having our MFA solutions “remember” you for a period of time if you choose not to use the additional authentication factor every time you authenticate. Currently, you can have our Duo MFA service remember you for 7 days for example.

Our ITS Service Desk can provide help with both immediate authentication issues as well as solutions for special cases (such as foreign travel during an extended period) and can provide you with one-time authentication codes if you are experiencing problems.

Our MFA solutions and applications do not give Colgate access to your device or information, so your privacy is protected.
