Institutional Aid Eligibility

Institutional grant aid is only available for students accepted into the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program. Institutional grant aid will be awarded for 80 percent of the tuition charge for all MAT students. Aid is awarded one semester at a time and is dependent on the number of courses for which a student is registered each semester.

Institutional grant aid is not available to students pursuing a Master of Arts in an Academic Subject.

Federal Aid Eligibility

Graduate students matriculated in a degree program who are US citizens or permanent residents are eligible for the Federal Direct Loan program.  A federal loan can be used to pay towards a student's cost of attendance. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for their federal direct loan eligibility.  In order to receive these federal loans a student must be enrolled at least half time and be meeting satisfactory academic progress requirements.

Regardless of income,  graduate students may borrow up to $20,500 in a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan in an academic year.
