Flores Rebolledo’s residency at Colgate (3/23-3/28) will offer students and faculty members an interdisciplinary approach to the study of theater and performance through a series of theater workshops, an academic lecture, class visits, engagement with student organizations, and the staging of his play Yo maté a Pinochet. All events will engage with the techniques of political and documentary theater, encouraging the audience to move beyond conventional academic expectations and inviting participants to think, create, and collaborate in a dialogue that involves sociopolitical and cultural issues related to physical and symbolic violence, power structures, and ideological oppression affecting global communities.
