On April 2, the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures and the Hispanic Honor Society, Chapter Lambda Xi of Sigma Delta Pi, hosted the second edition of the Undergraduate Symposium: Latin American and Spanish Peninsular Culture, Politics, and Literature. Students in Spanish and other related disciplines presented their past and ongoing research, creating a space of transdisciplinary dialogues around topics such as dissident and resistant identities (race, gender, and sexuality) and transnational memories (territories, imperialism, and displacement). The symposium also included a special creative presentation inspired by Cervantes' Don Quijote de la Mancha.
Panelists: Evelyn Sanchez ’27, Kaitlyn Machado ’25, Bailey Cooper ’26, Sidney Bourne ’27, Alisha Greenstein ’26, Jose Arriaza ’25, and Jerry Zhang ’28
