Jessica Johnson ’22 Named NIH Oxford-Cambridge Scholar

Jessica Johnson ’22, an astrogeophysics major, has been selected for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Oxford-Cambridge Scholars Program. She will head to Oxford University in the fall to start her doctoral work on endothelial cell mechanosensor response to turbulent blood flow and shear stress in human vasculature. NIH Oxford-Cambridge (OxCam) students partner with two investigators — one at the NIH and another at the University of Oxford or University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom — to perform a single collaborative dissertation project.
