Major Requirements
A student who completes the major requirements earns a degree in art and art history.
Required Courses
- ARTS 100 - Introduction to Studio Art (SA)
- One 100-level art history course
- One 200-level studio art course
- Five 200- or 300-level art history courses, of which at least one 300-level course must be completed on campus by the end of the junior year. (ARTS 311/MUSI 311 does not count towards this requirement.)
- ARTS 475 - Senior Project: Art History (AH)
- Either ARTS 499 - Advanced Studies for Honors or one additional art history course at the 200 or 300 level.

GPA Requirement
A GPA of C (2.00) in combined studio courses and art history courses is required of all majors. Only one course below a C– will be accepted for the major.
