I write today to share news that Tracey E. Hucks ’87, MA ’90, James A. Storing Professor of Religion and Africana and Latin American Studies, will leave Colgate University to join the faculty at Harvard University.

With spring break around the corner, I write with an update from campus.

Workers from the Village of Hamilton have restored water service following a break in the water main on Route 12B near 113 Broad Street.

As Colgate prepares for the return of students on Friday, Jan. 21., I write to share some of the measures that the University is taking to support the health and safety of our entire community this spring.

Oak Drive will be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic for tree maintenance work, Dec. 27–Jan. 15.

I write with an update as Colgate University students wrap up exams and papers on this final day of the fall 2021 semester.

While influenza is not uncommon this time of year, there has been an increase in the number of students reporting flu-like symptoms this week.

With the approach of family weekend this Friday through Sunday, I wanted to reach out with a brief update from campus.
