ITS staff members will be performing updates and upgrading systems throughout the summer. Please take note of the following dates for scheduled maintenance.
Classroom and Lab Summer Refresh
ITS staff members will be conducting computer maintenance on all classroom computers beginning on June 5, 2023. Computers will have their contents erased and the latest operating system installed. Some computers will be physically replaced in accordance with their replacement cycles.
Software requests for classroom computers for the fall semester should be submitted to the ITS service desk no later than June 30, 2023. Please send an email to itshelp@colgate.edu or call 315-228-7111 to let us know of your classroom computing needs.
Storage maintenance
Starting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, ITS in conjunction with our storage provider will be performing a non-disruptive hardware upgrade to the University’s storage infrastructure. This will provide increased system capacity to support the needs of the University.
Moodle Upgrade
Moodle will be upgraded to version 4.1 the morning of June 7, 2023. The upgrade will provide a new look and many new features to improve efficiency. Visit Moodle v4 Upgrade Notes to get a preview of the new Moodle and to find out more.
