Other Colgate-Sponsored Travel Abroad Health Insurance

Health Insurance

Health insurance is required for travel outside the United States.  International health insurance is available from Cultural Insurance Services International (CISI) at a nominal cost to faculty, students and staff traveling abroad on a Colgate-sponsored activity; for international travel only. Students, faculty and staff must complete the CISI self-enrollment form two weeks before departure.

Upon enrollment, CISI will send an email enrollees can use to:

  • Print their participant ID card
  • Create a MyCISI portal login
  • Download the MyCISI app

Individuals will generally have no co-pays for covered medical care. If you do pre-pay, you can submit a claim for reimbursement.
CISI additionally provides coverage for:

  • Routine Medical Visits
  • Hospitalizations
  • Emergency Care
  • Medical and psychiatric evacuation

Note: It is advised that students maintain their domestic medical insurance while abroad.
