The Accommodated Testing Center is designed to serve those students with testing accommodations originating from Colgate’s Academic Support and Disability Service (ASDS) office. Faculty members should verify such accommodations by reviewing the student’s accommodation notification form. Students are instructed to present these forms to the faculty member well in advance of any exam.
The current procedure of administering exams for extended time is:
1) Individual faculty members should attempt to make testing arrangements with the help of their administrative assistant.
2) In the event that this is not possible, faculty can rely on the Accommodated Testing Center to proctor exams. Students or faculty can visit colgate.mywconline.net to schedule an exam and click on the non-administrator link (see sample picture below):
The center is located in B-4 McGregory Hall and for this semester, it will be open during the hours listed below. Students and faculty can schedule one to multiple slots in 15 minute increments depending upon their documented accommodation. At any given time, there are a maximum of 10 chairs available in the center and these may fill.
The fall 2019 semester hours of operation are:
Monday 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Wednesday 3:45 p.m.–7:45 p.m.
Thursday 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Friday 9:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
The faculty member or the student can schedule an exam, but the faculty member must fill out an exam cover sheet and deliver the exam to the Center for Learning, Teaching, and Research (CLTR) in suite 101A Lathrop 24 hours prior to the scheduled exam time.
