The fondest recollections of Colgate University’s Bicentennial All-Class Reunion might differ among the 4,000 alumni, family members, and friends who attended the event last weekend. Yet, all of those memories, full of joy and deep connection, were made to last a lifetime.

Historian James Allen Smith, Class of 1970, has drawn upon Colgate’s rich archival records to tell the moving, vivid, and inspiring story of its founding, its development over time, and its bonds with the village of Hamilton, the region of central New York, and the nation.

Thirty years after the ALANA Cultural Center's groundbreaking, community members gathered once again to celebrate the Center's mission and history.

The BBC writes, “Some forests are more than 1,000 years old ... Paradoxically, humans have both protected them yet pose the biggest threat to their future.”

Six hundred and eighty four members of the Class of 2019 received their degrees during the institution’s 198th commencement exercises held along the banks of Taylor Lake — Colgate’s first outdoor ceremony since 2008.
