In some cases, you may need permission to register for a credit overload. Adding more than 4.50 credits is only an option during Drop/Add. See the "Adding a Fifth Course" section on the Drop/Add web page for details on which situations require adviser approval.

Credit Overload Request (during Drop/Add only)

Most courses can and should be added by registering for it online. It's expected that you will have all the prerequisites and meet the restrictions to register. If there is reason for you to request special permission to register, you must submit a Course Restriction Override Request, indicating the reasons you are preventing from registering and providing information to the faculty member about why you are requesting the exception.
