Frequently Asked Questions

Flex Dollars

These add flexibility to your dining options and may be spent like cash at Frank, the Coop, Chobani at the Hieber Café, Donovan's Pub, and the C-Store. As an additional value, flex dollars are tax exempt. Unused dollars may carry over from fall to spring semesters. However, unused flex dollars expire on the last day of the academic calendar year and do not roll over to the following academic year.

Bonus Dollars

Bonus dollars work like flex dollars but can be spent at popup retail locations on campus, operated by a variety of restaurants from the Hamilton community, in addition to Frank, the Coop, Chobani at the Hieber Cafe, Donovan's Pub, and the C-Store.

’Gate Cash

This is a convenient way to purchase meals at any campus dining location, and even many locations in the local community. Food can be purchased a la carte with your ‘Gate Card at Chobani at the Hieber Café, the Coop, Donovan's Pub, and C-Store, and full meals can be purchased at Frank Dining Hall. 'Gate cash may also be used for purchases at the Bookstore, mailroom, and to operate laundry machines, and library copiers. 'Gate Cash carries over from fall to spring and as well as between academic years.
