Make an Appointment
Students should call 315-228-7750 to make an appointment during business hours. Please leave your full name and phone number on the voicemail for a return call.
A 24-hour cancellation notice is appreciated.
- The staff assistant will ask about the nature of your problem in order to schedule your appointment appropriately.
- Your information is confidential. If you prefer not to discuss details of your condition over the phone, you may say that the issue is “personal.” Please let the staff assistant know if your health concern is urgent.
- The staff assistant may have you speak with one of our providers to determine if you need an immediate or same-day appointment.
Preparing For Your Appointment
Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Students arriving late for an appointment may be rescheduled. We recognize that conflicts may arise at the last minute, and we will do our best to reschedule you for a more convenient time.
Please bring:
- Student ID
- Insurance card
- List of current medications and allergies
- Health questions
- Student Health Services will charge either your Student Account or ’Gate Card for in-house medications and testing.
Student Health Services is accessible via the Colgate Shuttle Townhouse route, a 15-minute ride from Frank Dining Hall.
Charges for Student Health Services
There is no charge for visits to the health center. However, students (or their health insurers) are responsible for bills relating to emergency room visits, laboratory and X-ray tests, visits to specialists, and certain medications.
Emergency and After-Hours Care
If students have medical needs after hours, care is available through Community Memorial Hospital's urgent care, open select hours, or emergency services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Students should always call before presenting for care unless it is a medical emergency. Do not use the ER and urgent care for non-emergent and non-urgent medical needs.

Emergency Transportation
If students are instructed to go to urgent care or the ER, they may contact Campus Safety for transport to the appropriate facility. Students seeking care outside the student health center need to bring their insurance information for billing purposes.
