Daniel Benton ’80, P’10, H’10 has secured his place as Colgate’s most generous benefactor, making a $25 million gift in support of the University’s Middle Campus Plan for Arts, Creativity, and Innovation and other elements within The Third-Century Plan.
Colgate University announced the creation of two endowed faculty chairs that will support teaching and research in areas important to The Third-Century Plan.
MacDonell “Don” Roehm Jr. ’61 earned All-American and All-State honors for his skill as a Colgate soccer fullback. His passion for protecting Colgate athletics off the field as well was enshrined in a $4 million endowment bequest.
The easternmost of Colgate’s two new residential facilities will be named Burke Hall, in recognition of a $10 million gift from Gretchen ’81 and Steve ’80 Burke P’11,’20.
Trustee Emeritus Robert Hung Ngai Ho ’56, H’11 has confirmed a $15 million gift to Colgate University to establish the Robert Hung Ngai Ho Mind, Brain, and Behavior Initiative.
