Professors Martin Wong and William Peck from Earth and Environmental Geosciences, and Rebecca Metzler and Ramesh Adhikari from Physics & Astronomy have been awarded with $439,805 as part of National Science Foundation's Major Research Instrumentation program. The grant will bring a new field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) to Colgate University, complete with a suite of high-tech detectors that will allow for new research in geology, physics, biology, computer science, and other fields.
