With the retirement of professors Don Waldman and Tom Michl, the Department of Economics will be welcoming two new tenure-stream faculty members, who will begin on July 1, 2021. Seonyoung Park will be joining the department from the University of Delaware, where she has been an assistant professor. She will be teaching Intermediate Macroeconomics, Advanced Macroeconomics, and a seminar in applied macroeconomics. Park completed her graduate work at the University of Minnesota. Matthew Makofske will be arriving at Colgate from Murray State University, where he has been an assistant professor. He will be teaching Intermediate Microeconomics and Industrial Organization this year. Makofske pursued his graduate work at the University of Mississippi. We are thrilled for them to join the ranks of the economics department at Colgate.
