Register on IMLeagues

All communications, game scheduling, player statistics, and game notifications will be managed through the platform called IMLeagues. To participate, all players and teams must register on IMLeagues.

Create an IMLeagues Account

All individual players must have an account within IMLeagues. This account only needs to be created once, and then can be used to register that player for any intramural leagues moving forward.

  1. Go to the IMLeagues registration page.
  2. Enter your information, using your school email address (@colgate.edu).
  3. IMLeagues will send you an activation email. Click the link in the email to log in and activate your IMLeagues account.

Sign Up for an Intramural League/Sport

There are three ways in which to begin participating in an upcoming intramural league:

  1. Log in to IMLeagues.
  2. Click the Create/Join Team button.
  3. Go to the Colgate IMLeagues landing page.
  4. Click the league in which you'd like to create a team.
  5. Click the +Create Team button.
  6. Fill in the team details and click Create Team.
  7. From the team landing page, captains can invite players to the team by clicking +Invite in the Roster section.
    • Individuals who already have IMLeagues accounts can be found by typing their names and selecting them.
    • Invite players who do not already have IMLeagues accounts by entering their @colgate.edu email addresses.

Team captains may send invites via IMLeagues to individuals to join their team. Players will receive notification of such an invitation via email.

If the team captain does not send invitations, players can join a team with the following steps:

  1. Log in to IMLeagues.
  2. Click the Create/Join Team button.
  3. Go to the Colgate IMLeagues landing page.
  4. Click the league in which you'd like to join a team.
  5. You will see a list of teams that have registered for this league. Click Join Team next to the team you wish to join.
    • The team captain may need to accept requests to join the team if it was not set to automatically accept requests.

You may list yourself as a "free agent" within a league in which you wish to participate, but for which you do not have a team. Free agents are visible to all members of the site, may request to join a team, and may post information about themselves so that teams can elect to invite a free agent to their team. To register as a free agent:

  1. Log in to IMLeagues.
  2. Click the Create/Join Team button.
  3. Go to the Colgate IMLeagues landing page.
  4. Click the league in which you'd like to join a team.
  5. Click Join As Free Agent.

Tips for Team Captains

  • Invite players to your team.
It is possible for your teammates to join the team on their own, but your best bet for filling out your roster is to send invitations via IMLeagues so that they receive a prompt to join.
  • Set your team's availability.
Set your team's availability settings to avoid having games scheduled at times you know your team is not available.
  • Look for free agents.
Individual players can join your league as free agents in search of a team. Fill out your roster and make new connections on campus by picking up a free agent.
  • Communicate early and often.
Make sure your team knows the schedule and is available to play. As soon as you know of any scheduling issues, communicate those issues and participate in finding solutions in order to avoid forfeits.

Be Paid as an Intramural Sports Official or First Responder

Every intramural league throughout the year relies on the officiating of student referees and officials, and many require the presence of certified student first responders. These are paid positions and great opportunities for résumé-building experiences.
