The Office of Counseling and Psychological Services offers an array of mental wellness services to the Colgate student body.
Counseling Center Services
Services, provided free during the academic year, include group therapy, individual psychotherapy, couples’ counseling, psychiatric evaluations, outreach, referral consultation, on-call crisis coverage, and crisis intervention.
The center also provides consultation to faculty and staff who have concerns about a student.
The Counseling Center staff members are committed to reaching out to the Colgate community to help educate others about psychological topics. Outreach programs that reach students, faculty, and staff are available on a variety of issues, including:
- Alcohol and other drugs
- Eating disorders/body image
- Study skills
- Sexual assault prevention
- Diversity issues
- Relationship conflicts
