Focus on Fitness information

Whether just starting an exercise program, or looking for ways to expand a current training routine, Colgate has affordable rates for individuals or small groups to work directly with a certified personal trainer.

Personal and small group training

Sundays 8–9 p.m.

This weekly program during the academic year invites those who have felt uncomfortable and/or intimidated while working out at other hours in the day. Empower Hour aims to help participants build confidence, become comfortable exercising, and to build new connections within the Colgate community.

While the fitness center is open to all during this time, the emphasis is on creating a safe and inclusive space for learning, teaching, and community building. The ultimate goal is to achieve a fitness culture on campus in which every hour is Empower Hour.
