Tracee Ellis Ross, the award-winning actress, producer, founder, and CEO, will join the Colgate community for a keynote Q&A during Colgate University’s annual Arts, Creativity, and Innovation Weekend.

The elective designation, awarded by the American Council on Education and the Carnegie Foundation, recognizing the University’s continuing commitment to community engagement and partnerships.

Colgate University Dean of Students Dorsey Spencer was selected by the HBCU Executive Leadership Institute at Clark Atlanta University to be a part of its 2026 Community of Fellows.

The second year of the Tuck Business Bridge Program at Colgate kicked off in early January with 40 students returning to campus. They participated in more than two weeks of intensive programming designed to prepare for internships and careers, while building connections among students, alumni, and top-ranked Tuck faculty.

Colgate University’s 2026 celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Week, held Jan. 22–31, kicked off with a keynote address by activist Fredrika Newton, head of the Dr. Huey P. Newton Foundation.

As of Dec. 31, 2025, Colgate University has raised more than $5.9 million for the Colgate Fund. This milestone places the University more than halfway toward its $10.4 million goal for the 2026 fiscal year.

The Lampert Scholars and Storing-Hou Director of the Lampert Institute for Civic and Global Affairs Chad Sparber traveled to Washington, D.C., in October to meet with alumni and policy experts, part of the institute’s mission to build a bridge between academic and applied work in a policy sphere.
