  • This year, Colgate’s annual MLK Celebration will run from Jan. 23 through Jan. 29, 2023. The opening ceremony, featuring student speaker Kwabena Owusu Ansah ’24 and performances by the Colgate Resolutions and Safety Forth, will be held at 4:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 23, in Memorial Chapel and will stream live.

    More than 110 aspiring and published authors — alumni, parents, students, employees, local residents, and visitors from across the country — were on campus in June for the 27th annual Colgate Writers Conference. The event was spearheaded by Associate Professor of English Jennifer Brice, with assistance from four undergraduate Creative Fellows.

    Haven, Colgate’s sexual violence resource center, celebrated its fifth anniversary on Thursday, Oct. 28, in a ceremony honoring those who were instrumental to its creation in 2016.
