My top research interests are nationalism and national identities, populist leadership and mobilization, democratic erosion and resilience, social movements, and party politics. I also have a background in political economy, and I'm interested in neoliberalism and neoliberal restructuring, globalization and its implications, and hegemony and great power competition.
