Museum Research Request

This page provides directions for Colgate faculty members and students who wish to schedule an in-person viewing of an item or items from the collections of the Picker Art Gallery or Longyear Museum of Anthropology for research purposes. Use the tabs below to select which collection you’d like to request an appointment with.

To schedule a visit of the gallery and viewing of work from the collection, whether for a whole-class visit or as part of personal research, please contact curator Nicholas West at least three weeks in advance of your planned visit. Please include the following information in your message:

  • Instructor's name
  • Department and course number
  • Number of students
  • Preferred options for visit time and date
  • If known, object or types of objects requested
