The center provides students the opportunity to explore a variety of issues with a professional mental health provider in a confidential setting.

Services, provided free during the academic year, include group therapy, individual psychotherapy, couples’ counseling, psychiatric evaluations, outreach, referral consultation, on-call crisis coverage, and crisis intervention. 

The center also provides consultation to faculty and staff who have concerns about a student.

Outreach

The Counseling Center staff members are committed to reaching out to the Colgate community to help educate others about psychological topics. We provide outreach programs that reach students, faculty, and staff on a variety of issues. Alcohol and other drugs, eating disorders/body image, study skills, sexual assault prevention, diversity issues, and relationship conflicts are some of the topics that we cover.
