Regional Buses
Colgate offers regional bus service to New York City/New Jersey and Boston/Springfield during academic breaks. Travel costs $100 each way or $200 round-trip. Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
New York City and New Jersey Bus
The October Break New York City/New Jersey bus is sold out.
Departure time: 5:30 p.m.
Location: Donovan’s Pub
Stops at the Vince Lombardi Service Area in Ridgefield, New Jersey, before continuing to Bryant Park in New York City.
Approximate travel time: 4 hours to the Vince Lombardi Service Area, plus 30 minutes to New York City.
Capacity: 38 passengers
Cost: $100 each way; $200 round trip

Boston and Springfield Bus
The October Break Boston/Springfield bus is sold out.
Departure time: 5:30 p.m.
Location: Donovan’s Pub
Stops at the McDonald's in Chicopee, Massachusetts, before continuing to the New England Aquarium in Boston.
Approximate travel time: 3 hours to Chicopee; 1 hour and 45 minutes from Chicopee to Boston.
Capacity: 22 passengers
Cost: $100 each way; $200 round trip

Break Discount Shuttle
Colgate provides shuttle transportation to regional transportation hubs in Syracuse and Utica. Submit all break travel requests through the Colgate student-only request link.
Megabus
Megabus offers trips from campus to Port Authority in New York City for academic breaks. Pick-up and drop-off will be in front of the James C. Colgate Student Union on College St.
Travel Times and Delays
Bus times are estimates and may be affected by traffic and weather conditions. The transportation department does not provide live bus location updates. Riders are responsible for communicating any travel delays to those meeting them.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be submitted via email to transportation@colgate.edu at least 48 hours before departure. Any cancellations made after 48 hours or not submitted via email will be charged in full.
