Wang was previously the program coordinator for the Office of Student Diversity & Inclusion at the University of Washington - Seattle. She was the chair for the Graduate Studies Council at the American Educational Research Association (AERA). She is a PhD candidate, curriculum and instruction (specialization: teacher education, educational policy, mixed-method research methodology, political sociology). She enjoys the electone (electronic) organ, ukulele, kalimba, and LEGO for fun, and she is a sponsored athlete who is currently in training for the Spartan Race. Her partner’s name is Yiting ("eating") Chu.
