Sean Brueggemann

Sean Brueggemann began on August 28 as area director of residential life. Sean received his BA in economics/applied math from New College of Florida. He was previously employed as assistant director of housing operations and dining services at New College of Florida. He enjoys baking, cooking, tea, coffee, backpacking, board games, listening to music, and spending time with his partner, Victoria. 

Lindsey Byrnes

Lindsey Byrnes began on August 28 as an advanced practice provider at Student Health Services. Lindsey received her BA from Hamilton College and her MS from Le Moyne College. She was previously employed as a physician assistant at St. Joseph’s Health. She enjoys gardening, hiking, baking, reading, and spending time with her husband, Tim, and their two sons. 

Emma Carlisle Reske began on September 5 as an assistant director of recreation. Emma received her bachelor’s in elementary education and master’s in kinesiology from Smith College. She was employed as a collegiate rowing coach for the past six years at various institutions. She enjoys hanging out with her dogs, training for triathlons and marathons, doing anything outdoors to keep active, and spending time with her partner, Forrest, and dogs River and Miley.

Sarah Cross

Sarah Cross began on August 7 as an instructional designer: learning platforms and universal design. Sarah received her BFA in photography from University of Buffalo and her MFA in photography from Illinois State University. She was previously employed as an associate professor of photography at Cazenovia College. She enjoys photography, art, gardening, and spending time with her children Grayson and Jack.

Rachel Evans

Rachel Evans began on August 23 as director of wellness promotion. Rachel received her BS in community health education, nutrition and her MS in health education from Ithaca College, and master certified health education specialist (MCHES) credentials. She was previously employed at Syracuse University in various leadership roles within the Health Promotion Office, including, most recently, as associate director. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family: husband Rob and children Claire, Julianne, and Wesley; dogs Benny and Howie, and cat Chloe; and cooking. 

Bridget Flynn

Bridget Flynn began on August 21 as a capital inventory coordinator/jr. buyer. Bridget received her bachelor’s in business administration from Binghamton University. She enjoys cooking, completing puzzles, biking, and listening to music.

Rebecca Getz

Rebecca Getz began on September 27 as assistant director of purchasing/buyer. Rebecca received her BS in business management and economics from Empire University and her AS in business management from MVCC. She was previously employed as a principal specialist - contracts and business management at Collins Aerospace. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Adam, and children TJ, Cierra, Zach, and Ella.

Shelby Gilbert

Shelby Gilbert began on August 14 as academic department coordinator for music and theater. Shelby attended SUNY Oswego. She was previously employed as an entertainment and events coordinator at Turning Stone Resort Casino. She enjoys teaching/coaching sports, music, and movies, spending time with family and friends, and being outdoors. 

Audrey Hong

Audrey Hong began on September 11 as an education and engagement coordinator for University Museums. Audrey is a graduate of Colgate’s Class of 2023. 

 

 

Stefanie Jenkins

Stefanie Jenkins began on September 1 as an administrative assistant. Stefanie received her AAS in business administration from Columbus State University and is currently working on her BA in communications. She was previously employed as an enrollment counselor at Columbus State University. She enjoys traveling, camping, riding motorcycles, reading, and spending time with her husband, James, and children Jalen and Jacob. 

Parfait Kabore

Parfait Kabore began on September 5 as a portfolio analyst in the Investment Office. Parfait attended Colgate. He enjoys going to the gym, soccer, and FIFA. 

 

John "JP" Kirchner

John Paul “JP” Kircher began on August 28 as head men’s golf coach and instructor of physical education. JP attended Huntingdon College. He was previously employed at Piedmont University as director of golf and head men’s golf coach. He enjoys pickleball, board games, kayaking, sporting events, and spending time with his fiancée, Madeline. He has a dog named Leona.

Krystyna Kornecki

Krystyna “Krysia” Kornecki began on September 18 as a teaching and research support technician. Krysia received her BS from St. Lawrence University, MS from Kent State University, and PhD from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She was previously employed at Museum of Innovation and Science as the manager of school programs. She enjoys ice hockey, permaculture and green building, yoga, any and all outdoor activities, and spending time with her partner, Julian Zuluaga, and dog Dakota. 

James “Jim” Lister began on August 15 as women’s rowing head coach. Jim received his BA from University of Albany and his MALS from Skidmore College. He was previously employed at Hamilton College. He enjoys cycling on the Erie Canal and spending time with his wife, Meg, and daughters Gwen and Maggie.

Colin Munro began on August 28 as a men’s lacrosse assistant coach. Colin received his BA from Georgetown University. He was previously employed as a lacrosse coach at Providence College. He enjoys surfing, sports, and spending time with friends and family.

Cathleen "Katie" O'Neal

Catie O’Neal began on September 1 as an assistant athletic trainer. Catie received her BS in athletic training from Charleston Southern University and her master’s in advanced athletic training from the University of South Carolina. She was previously employed as an athletic trainer at Campbell University. She enjoys hiking, baking, and spending time with her dog Sven.

Abigail "Abby" Palko

Abigail “Abby” Palko began on August 7 as director of residential commons programs. Abby received her BA from Chestnut Hill College, her MA from Rutgers University, and PhD from the University of Notre Dame. She was previously employed as director of the Maxine Platzer Lynn Women’s Center at the University of Virginia. She enjoys needlepoint (is a member of the American Needlepoint Guild (ANG) and occasionally teaches and writes stitch guides), baking, reading, listening to music, the beach, taking long walks through the woods, and spending time with her husband, John Hayden, teenager Michael, and cats Lyric and Capella.

Riley Quigley

Riley Quigley began on August 14 as area director of residential life for Hancock Commons. Riley received his BS in business administration from SUNY Potsdam and his HR management certification from Villanova University. He enjoys music, video games, and spending time with his cat, Wild Berry Poptart.

Eric Summers

Eric Summers began on September 20 as men’s rowing assistant coach. Eric received his BA in economics from Colgate in 1991 and his MBA from Syracuse University. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Robin, and children Williams and Daniel.

Devin Torres

Devin Torres began on August 7 as an assistant director of employer relations. Devin received his BA in Africana studies from Bowdoin College. He was previously employed as a college success advisor. He enjoys playing video games, learning new recipes to cook, and finding activities that will bring him out of his comfort zone.

Kourtney Lynn Vrydaghs

Kourtney-Lyn “Kourt” Vrydaghs began on August 22 as an application integration developer. Kourt received her BS in computer information science from SUNY Polytechnic Institute. She was previously employed as a software engineer at SRC Inc. She enjoys crafting, drawing (doing digital media), playing video games, watching anime, collecting Pokémon cards, Funko pops, and spending time with her husband, Mark, and their three cats, Twinky, Roxanna, and Isaac. 

Christopher “Chris” Waters began on August 23 as an administrative department coordinator for campus safety. Chris received his master’s in wellness from Missouri State University. He was previously employed as head diving coach at Army West Point. He enjoys fitness, DIY, diving, and spending time with his wife, Tracy, and children Michael, Kerrigan, Colleen, and Lawrence.
