Community Partners

The COVE houses roughly 40 volunteer teams consistently serving during the academic year with more than 30 local community partners. 800 volunteer in Oneida, Utica, Morrisville, Madison, and Sherburne, and here in Hamilton. Community partners can reach out for extra help, either for a one-day or long-term project.

Salvage

Each year, while they move off campus, the COVE encourages students to donate unwanted items to local non-profit organizations. Faculty, staff and students work together to collect and sort these items in Parker Commons to be collected by those organizations. Last year, the COVE distributed more than $45,000 worth of items to the local community. Reach out to Sarah Sparber at ssparber@colgate.edu to get involved in this program.
