Master's degree in Jazz Pedagogy at the University of Miami, 1981
After returning to his home in central NY, he taught at SUNY Oswego, SUNY Morrisville, and several area public and parochial schools.
Currently he plays first trumpet with the Colgate University Concert Jazz Ensemble.
As a free-lance musician he plays everything from Dixieland jazz to musical theatre pit, to church services. "Rhythm is the most essential part of music, and there is no more appreciative audience than a dance audience".
He also plays in Soul Injection, a funk / soul / R&B dance band in the Mohawk Valley.
